SNFCC is a real modern Greek miracle. Including the new facilities for the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the Greek National Opera (GNO), as well as the creation of the 210,000 m² Stavros Niarchos Park, it is a place of education, culture, entertainment, relaxation and sports for Athens’ inhabitants and visitors.
SNFCC was constructed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop with the highest standards of sustainability, due to which it also received with Platinum level LEED certification, the highest possible rating for environmentally conscious and sustainable buildings. The SNFCC is the first building in Greece to have received this award. World known architect Renzo Piano is behind many famous buildings, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Various events are organized regularly in SNFCC: concerts, yoga classes in the park, sailing in the canal, open-air cinema screenings are only few of the activities to attend during your stay in the city.

Leaving SNFCC, follow below 35-minute walk or take the 17-minute tram route from “Tzitzifies” to “Trocadero” and find yourself in front of the breathtaking Flisvos Marina!
