Visitors’ Help Office
Recently established by the Tourist Police, the trained staff of the Visitors’ Help Office will provide you with all the necessary guidelines and information on any issues falling into police services. Also, it aims to manage effectively and respond rapidly to any unfortunate incidents, such as loss of travel documents or thefts and to the issue of necessary certificates, reports and other documents.

Shop opening hours
Super markets: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 21:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 20:00, Sunday: closed.
Kiosks (“periptero”): In Athens you will meet kiosks very often. You will be surprised by the quantity of different products they sell, including tobacco, newspapers, magazines, snacks, milk, juices, beverages, soft drinks and more. Many of them are open 24/7. Those who don’t, are typically open 07:00 – 22:00.
Shops: Monday – Saturday: 09:00 – 14:30, and on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: also 17:00 – 21:00. Malls and department stores are open 09:00 – 21:00, except for Saturdays that they close at 20:00.
Pharmacies: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 14:00, and on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: also 17:30 – 2o:00. Some pharmacies in the city centre are open Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 21:00.  In case of emergency out of the opening hours, you can find all pharmacies on duty on the door of any pharmacy.
